The Best of Aliw '09 on NBN 4

MANILA, Philippines – NBN 4 will air The Best of Aliw ’09 on May 26, 10 p.m., according to Aliw Awards Foundation, Inc. president Rema Manzano.

The Best of Aliw ‘09, presented recently at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Main Theater, features five Entertainers of the Year — Pilita Corrales, Rico Puno, Celeste Legaspi, Tessie Tomas and Ogie Alcasid, four Lifetime Achievement awardees Willie Nepomuceno, Bayanihan, Ingrid Santamaria and UN Artist for Peace Madrigal Singers, Hall of Famers Rachelle Gerodias, Ramon Acoymo, Ricky Davao and Miguel Aguila and special guests Nonoy Libanan, John Lesaca, Dulce, Anthony Castelo, Liezl Batucan, UP Concert Chorus and Jonathan Badon under the direction of Joey Nombres.

Outstanding Filipino compositions are rendered by top live entertainers in a show that has been hailed as a unique and inspiring cultural event.

The TV special is presented by PAGCOR, PCSO, Pagoda Philippines, makers of Family Rubbing Alcohol, Placenta Soap and Manila Bulletin.
