Ralph Kyau and Steven Moebius Albert, better known as trance sensation duo Kyau & Albert, gave Manila a generous dose of their sound, mainly composed of trance and vocal trance, at the Bigfish party, Gatecrasher: Innovation Black, recently.
But this wasn’t before club scene fixtures Anton Ramos and Johnboy Lee had their share of the spinning.
First to warm up the booth was Ramos, who dispensed track after track of seamless steady beats. His opening set teased and flirted with the crowd and got them right in a celebratory mood. Just a little past midnight, Lee rode shotgun and eventually took control of the ones and twos—letting loose some recognizable club bangers and infusing them with new material. MC Lavoce, as always, was all hyped up, keeping the fuel burning.
It was around half past two in the morning when the lights dimmed, indoor fireworks burst out and the giant projector in front was hoisted to reveal the Gatecrasher logo behind it.
