Summer flicks on Hallmark
MANILA, Philippines - Hallmark Channel helps televiewers beat the summer heat with premieres and TV specials.
The Curse of King Tut’s Tomb follows the story of free-spirited Danny Fremont (Casper Van Dien), an archaeologist with a deep-seated interest in the mysterious life of the great Child King Tutankhamen. Convinced of the great power hidden within King Tut’s Emerald Tablet, he decides to go on a quest for the missing relic. One person, however, is in his way, his nemesis archaeologist Morgan Sinclair (Jonathan Hyde), who is involved in a secret society determined to unleash evil in the world. The two-part premiere is on April 11,9 p.m. and April 18.
Airing with a two-hour special on April 25 at 9 p.m., Sea Patrol Season 2 highlights the drama of life at sea with the Australian Navy and the things the crew go through to protect their country’s watery borders.
Also catch the series in its regular timeslot Tuesday nights at 11, starting April 28.
Relax at home with Hallmark’s Holiday Movie Marathon tomorrow, April 10, starting with Angel in the Family at 10 a.m. It is a heartwarming movie about two sisters, Sarah and Beth (played by Tracey Needham and Natasha Wagner), who reunite after their father suffers a mild stroke and experience a miracle after Sarah wishes for their already-deceased mother to be there for them.
Love’s Enduring Promise follows at 12 p.m. Missie Davis (January Jones), a lovely, intelligent schoolteacher meets handsome Grant (Mackenzie Astin), and instantly knows that he is so much like the hero she has encountered in one of her books. She is torn when a newcomer enters the scene — a mysterious young man named Nate who helps her family out when they need it the most.
Also part of the special are The Maldonado Miracle at 2 p.m. and Though None Go with Me at 4 p.m.
