Hard Rock Café gets a rockin' facelift
Hard Rock Café (HRC) Makati recently marked its 13th anniversary and has positioned itself at the forefront of Filipino pop culture as a leading restaurant and entertainment venue.
It is known the world-over as a credible , innovative leader in the restaurant industry. As a restaurant, the central theme is to showcase popular American cuisine that mainly consists of classic American cheeseburgers, French fries, roast beef sandwiches, pork chops and smashed potatoes, and garden fresh salads as well as favorite American desserts such as apple cobblers, cheesecakes, and chocolate mud pies. Food at HRC boasts of fresh ingredients cooked to perfection and prepared in huge, mouthwatering servings.
HRC’s service follows a tradition of excellence where customers are the main focus. The main ideology of is best articulated in one of its slogans, "Love All, Serve All." Love All, Serve All is a vigilant political campaign to educate the global community about equality among race, class, and gender. HRC is an open space where margins do not exist, only impeccable personal service and good food.
In the Philippines, HRC has a staff of over a hundred trained to provide the best dining experiencei. The menu carries the same-patented line-up of food and beverages as other franchises . An interesting, exciting twist is a special Asian menu exclusively available at HRC Makati. It is created by a team of well-trained chefs and sous chefs whose inspiration is the unique and distinctive Filipino palate. The menu consists of spicy seafood fried rice, bistek Tagalog, and chicken curry among others.
As with all other franchises of HRC, Hard Rock Café Makati has a Rock Shop that offers original and authentic Hard Rock Café Makati merchandise items like T-shirts, baseball caps, jackets, pins, lighters, drum sticks and glasses and mugs among others. The shop has classic merchandise item designs and special lines like shirts designed by U2 lead singer Bono.
Part of Hard Rock Café’s success is the inclusion of its own brand merchandise. The classic Hard Rock T-shirt was created when the original café in London sponsored a local football team. The shirts became popular items and led to the creation of the line of merchandise that is an integral part of Hard Rock’s business today. Many of these items are considered collectibles with many being café, hotel or casino specific. These items can generally only be purchased on site, with a few items from Hard Rock’s website.
This month, HRC continues its series of special performances from today’s hottest artists like Nina (Jan. 31); and Side A and Freestyle in a back-to-back concert (Jan. 30). Featured bands this month are Zoo (Sundays), 7th Soul (Mondays), Tres with Kaji (Tuesdays), and 3rd Avenue (Fridays), Beatles tribute band Area One (Wednesdays), Mocha (Thursdays) and Silk (Jan. 31).
