Mexican heartthrob on La Traicion

Mexican heartthrob Mario Cimarro (photo) sizzles your weekday afternoons with ABS-CBN’s newest Mexicanovela La Traicion premiering this afternoon after Pieta.

Following the success of recently-concluded El Cuerpo (also topbilled by Cimarro), Mario brings you twice the passion and intensity as he portrays the sibling characters of Hugo and Alcides de Medina in the story of revenge, betrayal and love.

Hugo is an attractive, educated and mysterious swordsman envied by every man including his twin brother Alcides, for having the good life and the women.

The known womanizer undergoes a radical change when he meets young and beautiful Soledad de Obregon (Danna Garcia) whom he will fall in love with.

The two will share a passionate love until they face their biggest trial yet. While preparing for their wedding, Hugo then suffers from a catalepsy attack (an illness he has been hiding from everyone) and is falsely sentenced dead and gets buried alive.

His sinister brother Alcides takes advantage of this and asks Soledad’s hand in marriage to keep her and her family away from humiliation.

Shortly after his supposed death, Hugo returns with vengeance geared not only at Soledad but all those who treated him with hate and disdain.
