Straight talk with Dawn

Dawn Zulueta has come full circle. She has created an admirable balance among her duties as a wife, mother, actress and a much in-demand product endorser.  Dawn is happy and content. She exudes inner beauty and her warmth is contagious. Dawn is a respected actress who has maintained her luster and bankability in spite of the emergence of much younger talents and irrepressible wannabes. She is inarguably one of today’s most trusted product endorsers. Let’s find out more about Dawn:

What was your favorite toy when you were growing up?

I loved my bicycle. I’d get together with other kids in the neighborhood to build high heaps of soil on an empty lot so we could try mini-motocross stunts.

If you could be somebody’s guardian angel, who would you safeguard?

I would love to be my son’s guardian angel. That way when I’m gone, I could watch over him and give him comfort on days when he feels down.

The last time you felt sexy?

On our recent Easter vacation in Singapore, Anton and I got to bond with Jacobo during the day taking him to the zoo and Ocean Park. Then in the evenings we had our private time together.

The book that you would bring if you were stranded in an island?

How To Survive On An Island should do well.

If a man has a tag price, how much are you willing to spend?

Not too dearly.

When was the last time you were on bended knees?

The day at the doctor’s office when I was pregnant and had complications, I couldn’t wait to get home and cry out to God in private.

How do you show your love for God?

To never take things for granted, whether it be in good times or in bad. To always find ways to share my blessings, whether with a kind word or deed while keeping myself anonymous.

Would you rather be president of this country or the richest woman?

To be the richest woman and have the freedom to choose how to help the less fortunate... sans the red tape.

The worst question ever asked of you in an interview?

So, all told... how many acting awards have you received?

What would you do if you inherited a billion dollars?

Fifteen percent charity; 20 percent time deposit; 20 percent building the home of our dreams and traveling around the world; 20 percent Jacobo’s educational fund, plus extra 15 percent for Philippine scientific research and advancement of technology and 10 percent to be divided between my mother, brother and father.

If there is a name in your heart right now, who is it?

Jacobo.

The best movie of all time?

Star Wars.

Lotion or powder?

Lotion.

Hot or cold?

Cold.

If you can compete one on one with any single athlete, who would it be?

The world’s No. 1 badminton player! It would be more of a clinic for me not a competition.

Narciso Rodriguez’s For Her.

What makes you happy?

Being on the receiving end of my son’s embraces, kisses and “I Love You Mama.”

If you had a tattoo, what would it be?

Can’t think of any... I wouldn’t want to have a tattoo but if I really need one, I’d have my blood type tattooed on my rear end.

The man of your fantasy?

My husband, Anton.

What is the one book that you read over and over again?

The Bible. Scriptures have a new revelation each time.

The most important event in history that you have participated in?

The first EDSA Revolution.

What is the one trait that you don’t like in yourself?

Some days, I can have a very short fuse.

How often do you lie?
