Jerome John Hughes is an actor, model, TV host and, first and, foremost, a singer.
His most cherished dream is to be a successful singer/recording artist. He has been working so hard to achieve this. Right now, everything is falling in the right place, as far as his singing career is concerned.
When he signed a contract with Universal Records, big breaks have started coming his way. While he was about to finish his solo album, he was commissioned to perform with Karylle the theme song of the Metro Manila Film Festival Best Picture, Mano Po 3, Pagbigyan Ang Puso.
The song has won the Best Theme Song trophy in the filmfest and most recently the same distinction from the Philippine Movie Press Clubs Star Awards.
Early this year, Jerome recorded another duet (with Kyla), the movie theme tune for GMA Films Let The Love Begin. The original soundtrack album has already been certified gold and is nearing platinum mark.
There are solo versions of both hit songs, Pagbigyan Ang Puso and Let The Love Begin, in his newly released We Could Be In Love album.
The title track, We Could Be In Love, composed and produced by Noel (DJ M.O.D.) Macanaya, is an infectious dance item, translated into music video directed by Tim Jimenez; also included in the album.
The Let The Love Begin and Pagbigyan Ang Puso music videos both directed by Jeffrey Tan are also in the album.
We Could Be In Love is loaded with potential hit singles. There is Hindi Magbabago, written and produced by Arnie Mendaros, with solo guitars by Noel Mendez. This love anthem will surely be the romantic favorite of the year.
Another catchy love ditty is Mahal Kita (Aishite Imasu), composed by Lito Camo, who also wrote another pop ballad in the album, Nakikiusap.
Straight From the Heart, arranged and produced by Ito Rapadas, sounds tailor-made for todays hottest hitmaker, Jerome John Hughes.
Two other songs by DJ M.O.D., Come Back To Me and Im Fallin For You, have just the right R&B flavor that will make us get up and dance.
Arnie Mendaros composed an English song for Jeromes album, Let Me Be The One. Regine Tolentino and Noel Mendez are special guests on this track.
There are 16 cuts on the We Could Be In Love album which will give endless listening and viewing pleasure.
Bella Dy Tan is the executive producer of the album, with Noel Macanaya, Lito Camo and Ito Rapadas as producers. We Could Be In Love album is recorded and mixed at Cloud 9 Studio with Dante Tañedo and Boggie Manipon as recording engineers.
Jerome was photographed by Dominic James for the album cover and sleeves, designed by Ga Javellana and JayC Rivera.
