4 Filipino kids join Nickelodeon treasure hunt

The Philippine Star

Nickelodeon has given four Nick-viewers the chance to take part in Nickelodeon's Commotion By The Ocean treasure hunt. Michael Sta. Ana of Davao City, Mary Nicole Geva of Bacolod City, Francis Jerome Genabe of Metro Manila and Marvin Morales of Lapu-Lapu City plus two of their friends will be flying to Cebu to take part in a treasure hunt and Nick-style beach party at Hadsan Beach, Mactan Island today. All these fun and prizes, plus hotel accommodation, airfare, transportation and more have been provided by Nickelodeon as part of Nick's philosophy that kids really win on Nickelodeon!

Twenty runner-up were chosen and will receive a Nick goodie bag filled with great Nick-prizes.

The four winners were randomly chosen from hundreds of entries. Each gets to invite two friends to form their respective teams, plus one chaperone, to accompany them to Cebu where they will spend three days on the beach. The four teams will compete against each other today as they go around Cebu seeking clues to lead them to Nick-style treasures and eventually a Nick-style beach party.

As the four teams hunt for treasures around Cebu, Hadsan Beach will be open to the public and kids with tickets to create a Commotion By The Ocean party. This Nick-style beach party will feature booths offering face painting, caricature drawings, kiddie tattoos, balloon art and more. Kids can also take part in a variety of games and contests and win prizes in 'Pass the Nick Blimp,' 'CatDog Relay,' 'Rugrats Dance,' and the chance to meet the stars from Eureeka's Castle, Eureeka and Magellan and Aaahh!!! Real Monster's Ickis.

Nickelodeon's philosophy of putting kids first has led to the creation of Commotion By The Ocean which is focused on creating the most Nick-fun possible. Kids who cannot get to Hadsan Beach can watch highlights of the day to be telecast on Nickelodeon in June.

Nickelodeon is the world's only multi-media entertainment brand dedicated exclusively to kids. It is seen in more than 300 million households in 149 territories worldwide. Nickelodeon's channels can be seen across Africa, Asia and the Pacific Rim, Latin America, Europe, CIS/Baltic Republics and the US. It is registered trademark of MTV Networks, a unit of Viacom Inc.
