Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung, Jung Kyung Ho split after 14 years

MANILA, Philippines — Girls’ Generation (SNSD) member Sooyoung and actor Jung Kyung-ho have parted ways after 14 years of dating, their agencies confirmed on Tuesday.
Breakup rumors previously began circulating in various news outlets after social media users noticed that the stars begun unfollowing each other on social media.
Sooyoung’s agency, People Entertainment, told Star News Korea: "It is true that the two have broken up. They have decided to remain good colleagues."
Jung Kyung-ho agency also confirmed their split, adding that the timing is “difficult to confirm” since it is a “private matter” between the two stars.
“It appears that their busy schedules influenced the breakup," the actor’s agency added.
Sooyoung and Kyung-ho began dating in 2012 and confirmed their relationship in 2014.
Apart from being a member of the popular K-pop girl group, Sooyoung has also transitioned to acting. Her dramas include “Dating Agency: Cyrano,” “My Spring Days” and “So I Married the Anti-fan.”
Kyung-ho starred in several popular K-dramas, including “Prison Playbook,” “Crash Course in Romance” and “Hospital Playlist.”
