"Reminisce, revive, reconnect"
Continuing with the centennial celebration of the University of the Philippines Cebu, the UP Alumni Association-Cebu Chapter is inviting all to join a night of reminiscing, revival, and reconnection during the UP Cebu Centennial Ball on Friday, April 27, 2018, 6 p.m. at the Pacific Ballroom of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino in Lahug, Cebu City.
Former classmates, batchmates, schoolmates, and mentors are invited to celebrate the centennial in this dress-up dinner affair together with the current administration and faculty of UP Cebu led by Chancellor Liza Corro and the deans and heads of the colleges. Retired professors, administrators and staff are also invited to this event.
Enjoy the music to be rendered by the homegrown UP Cebu Serenata choral group under the baton of Dr. Catherine Rodel. Next, the alumni and the rest of the guests are expected to crowd the dancefloor and swing to the music of the yesteryears played by a live band!
Prior to the ball proper, a UP Happy Hour cocktail fellowship will be set up outside the ballroom (5 p.m. to 6 p.m.) where drinks, including a signature UP Centennial Drink, will be offered at discounted prices. Everyone can also enjoy a generous buffet dinner during this Centennial Ball.

Centennial Ball prices for alumni and guests are the following: P2,500 for dinner concert passes/reservations paid on or before April 15, 2018; P3,000 for dinner concert passes/reservations paid between April 16 to 22, 2018; and P3,500 for dinner concert passes paid between April 23 to 27, 2018 or onsite/walk-in. Proceeds of the Centennial Ball will go to the development projects of the UPAA Cebu Chapter including a donation to the Y for I.T. Foundation.

A job fair is slated for today, April 14. On Wednesday, April 18, there will be a centennial Faculty Research Symposium from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Performing Arts Hall. For April 21, UP Cebu will celebrate Earth Day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the UP Grounds Joggers' Path.
On Sunday, April 22, find time to enjoy Tanyag, the annual exhibition of UP Cebu's College of Communication, Art, and Design at the Robinson's Galleria Cebu. From 1:30 p.m. on April 25, students will present their research and theses in Ted-ex style at the Performing Arts Hall. A symposium and exhibit are scheduled on April 27, together with a launch of DOST-funded facilities from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Performing Arts Hall and Technology and Information Center, respectively.
For May 2, Wednesday, an Industry and Academe Forum will be held in the morning at the Performing Arts Hall while an open house for all service shared facilities and exhibit of locators will take place at the AS Conference Hall. SENTENARYO, an exhibit that will showcase 100 artworks of the Alumni, faculty, and guests, will be held at the Jose T. Joya Gallery at 6 p.m.
On May 3, UP Cebu's Founding Anniversary, the unveiling of the gratitude wall, and the UP Presidents' markers will take place at 5 p.m., followed by awarding of winners for various categories, then dinner, Cook-out and Crazy Day concert!
