Taxi fare

TAXI METER. A Manila-based corporate woman came to Cebu for a very important transaction with local businesses here. Taking a taxicab from Mactan airport to Cebu Business Park, she was amazed how fast was the taxi meter. "Ang bilis talaga ng meter, like bullet train in Japan."

COMPARISON. The woman said the taxi meter reflected P300 plus from Mactan airport to barangay Mabolo. "Ang P300 sa amin aabot ka na from Manila to Quezon City, daanan mo pa Makati na heavy yung traffic. Pero dito, ang lapit lang, P300 kaagad?"

COMPLAINT. But the woman said, she did not air her complaint to the taxi driver, fearing that she might be told to get out of the cab.
