Ortega, Mariot win doubles title of Rama dartfest

CEBU, Philippines - Shane Ortega and Christopher Mariot emerged as the classified doubles champion in the 4th Mayor Mike Rama Inter-Barangay Darts Tournament at the Baseline Sports and Recreation Center.

Ortega and Mariot won games one after the other before they eventually outlasted the tandem of Steve Montenegro and Rollie Opura in the final match.

Ortega and Mariot pocketed P2,000 for their efforts, while Montenegro and Opura received P1,000.

Marllito Patunob and Arvic Recana placed third after edging out Jerome Perales and Edu James Pangandoyon.

Alvin Villa/Rocky Rodriguez and Rodmar Branzuela/Boyet Apuya were at joint fifth and sixth place followed by Boy Campugan/Ren-Ren Sapio and Jomar Amerol/ Jun-Jun Daclan.

Meanwhile, the triples event will be contested tomorrow still the same venue. On Saturday, the youngsters will vie for top honors in the youth singles division, while the rest will fight for supremacy in the men's open doubles. (FREEMAN)
