Prime Asia routs San Marino to go 5-0 in Partner's Cup

CEBU, Philippines - The Prime Asia-UV Lancers handily dismantled the San Marino Corned Tuna-USPF Panthers, 85-57, to stretch their unbeaten streak to five games in the 6th CESAFI Partner's Cup men's basketball tournament last Tuesday night  at the Cebu Coliseum.

Just last Sunday, Prime Asia completed a four-game sweep of the first round of elimination with a 111-82 rout of Gaisano Tisa-UC Webmasters.

Chris Perolino and Wowie Escocio proved to be deadliest one-two punch for Prime Asia, finishing with 27 points combined.

After closing the first period with an imposing 29-10 lead, Prime Asia dominated the game rest of the way without any semblance of resistance from San Marino.

Prime Asia ended the third quarter with a 62-41 advantage, which it parlayed into a 28-point demolition at the final buzzer.

The biggest lead of the UV-manned squad, however, stood at 30 points, 77-47, on a triple by John Abad midway in the final canto.

Joseph Sedurifa finished with 11 points, while James Ferraren and Art Camello netted 10 markers apiece for San Marino, which stayed winless in five starts.
