Summit Fight Night slugfest at Gaisano Countrymall today

CEBU, Philippines - Another installment of the monthly Summit Fight Night Amateur Series will happen on the parking lot of Gaisano Countrymall tonight featuring a slew of promising young competitors coming from various schools, universities, boxing clubs, and barangays.

ALA Boxing Gym’s own amateur contenders will also see action in this tournament.

Elmo Traya will move up to the 60-kilogram class to face UV's Robert Eturma, while Japanese pug Edjede Kazuma will take centerstage in the 58 kgs. division against JR de la Peña of Talamban.

Southwestern University’s Zorro Babel Arsola, Kenan Villaflor, Allan and Ian Refuela will take on their respective opponents Juren Labordo, Mardy Muaña, Ritchie Montealto, and Kevin Jake Cataraja.

Other contenders of UV Boxing Team, Dann Lou Codilla and Bryan Remedio, will go up against Abellana National School’s Rioxyl Tabugon and Raymond Namocatcat.

A battle of high school prizefighters will happen in the 48 kgs. class when Christian Bacolod of Mabolo National High School will face off against Jimboy Hilonggo, another contender of Abellana National High School.

Also seeing ring action are John Roque, Raymond Tarona, and BB Rama of the same boxing club. They will be trading leathers against John Paul Tanodra, Gabriel Besinga, and Dominique Casañares.
