CEBU, Philippines - Promising go-kart racers from Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu along with three other Cebuanos hope to once again stamp their classes when they see action in the fifth round of the 2011 Petron Super Karting Series today at the Enchanted Kingdom in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna.
The SHS-AdC squad composed of Jette Calderon, Joseph Rojo, Sean Velasco and Vince Adrian Rojo are all geared up for the event, thanks to their training at Kartzone that keeps them in tip-top shape.
Calderon, the 2011 Karter of the Year contender, will be competing in the junior ROK category as Joseph Rojo will be running in the KT100 expert class. Velasco will show his stuff in the KT 100 novice and Vince Rojo in the mini-ROK division.
The other Cebu bets who will vie for top honors in the one-day tilt are Peterson Lim, Wilson Ong and Liam Sacal.
Lim will be racing in the SQ expert class, Ong in the SQ novice and Sacal in the SQ cadet division.
Lim, whose victory in the rain-soaked Asian Karting Open Championship vaulted him to the top of the standings, will again rely on his superb driving skills to maintain his lead. (FREEMAN)
