CRV, Viking reach semis in FYA hoopla

CEBU, Philippines -  Team CRV and the Vikings knocked out separate rivals in the wildcard round to advance into the semifinals of the 3rd F. Llamas Youth Association (FYA) basketball tournament at the Sitio Manggahan open court in Brgy. Punta Princesa, this city.

CRV dethroned Simpolang Barbecue Haus with a 109-106 victory in overtime, while the Vikings scored an emphatic 90-65 demolition of the OMKI Megavolts.

In the semis, the Vikings will take on the topseed ANKLA, while CRV faces Habagat.

Dexter Caballero exploded with 44 points for CRV, while Ranel Patalita had 16 points and Michael Garcia and Ago Estella chipped in 15 points apiece.
