ANKLA, CRV trip foes in FYA
CEBU, Philippines - Team ANKLA and CRV posted contrasting victories to share the temporary lead in the 3rd F. Llamas Youth Association (FYA) basketball tournament at the Sitio Manggahan open court in Brgy. Punta Princesa, this city.
ANKLA foiled the surging Matthew by hacking out a 72-57 demolition, while CRV ran over Ernest Jay, 90-83.
Both winners are tied with 2-0 win-loss records.
Royce Sonsona garnered 24 points for ANKLA while Chissar Llegunas added 18 markers.
On the other hand, Ranel Patalita exploded with 30 points while Dexter Caballero added 25 points for CRV. Ip-ip Torrelisa and Michael Garcia chipped in 13 and 10 points, respectively.
Ernest Jay, which suffered its first loss in three games, was led by Mclean Alcueno with 21 points followed by Martillan with 15.
