Lite/FAL Shipping wins Guy Lim Cup All-Star Game

CEBU, Philippines - The combined forces of Lite Shipping and FAL Shipping beat Cebu Movers System, which was beefed up by players from the Aisle Marine Service, 108-100, in the first ever Lucio "Guy" Lim, Sr. Memorial Cup All-Star Game at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

Coach Elmer "Boy" Cabahug, whose Lite Shipping team won the title, borrowed three players from FAL Shipping in Raymund Revilles, Janjan Tumulak and Toto Molina to reinforce his squad.

The Lite/FAL Shipping forces cashed in from the near flawless outside shooting of Allan Cabral, who charted a game-high 28 points.

Bull-strong forward Allan Cabanas rose to the occasion scoring 16 points, while ex-UV Lancer Dante Elim added 14 markers.

Cat-quick pointguard Eming Batarilan and Revilles chipped in with 12 and 10 points, respectively for the Lite/FAL Shipping.

Barry Ledesma topped CMS with 26 points followed by Franco Te with 20.

In the 3-point shootout, Richard Satina and Ledesma of Aisle Marine Services beat CMS' Te and Juanito Sasing by the slimmest of margins, 24-23.

The tandem of Jeffrey Sinoy and Harold Marago of Lite Shipping won the 2-ball competition title after they demolished FAL Shipping's Tumulak and Molina, 24-8.

The awarding rites of the Guy Lim Cup will be held on December 18 at the CAP building along Osmeña Boulevard, this city.
