Adlawan rules 8th leg of MS Motosuit motocross series

- Caecent No-ot Magsumbol -

CEBU, Philippines - Jon-Jon Adlawan bounced back from his loss in another event last month by snatching twin victories in the 8th leg of the 2010 MS Motosuit Motocross Series dubbed as the "Mayor Nice Opura Cup" the other day in Carcar City.

Adlawan dominated the pro open category over Jubenile Abellar, while crowd-darling John Flores came out third.

With lots of energy in store, Adlawan gave Weng Yapparcon a dose of his fierceness by lording it over in the expert open as Flores, Adlawan’s schoolmate at the University of San Carlos, came up with another third place finish.

Yapparcon though made sure he won't go home empty-handed by topping the intermediate open over Wilbert Maraño and Rex Barbaso.

The other early favorites also lived up to expectations, with Seigfred Ornopia and his son Brylle wining their respective classes so as the likes of BJ Pepito, Donkey Sanchez and Ayen Ledesma.

Sanchez again had his hands full as he ruled the local enduro over Jinggoy Mayol and Alex Abalo and the open enduro over the two riders as well.

Sanchez, however, missed a treble after being beaten by Ayen Ledesma in the novice open open class.

Seigfred Ornopia of Keiz BJ Racing went unstoppable in the executive A class, this time beating Jun Enriquez for the top spot as little known Ricky Coca came out third.

Seigfred’s son, Brylle reigned supreme in the mini class over Jinggoy Mayol and Jeffy Cuesta.

BJ Pepito, for his part, prevented female rider Marianne Yapparcon from outsmarting him in the peewee race, as Brylle Ornopia’s younger brother Ken Kerry grabbed the third place.

The other category winners were Cyril Maraño (beginners open production), Felipe Montejo (executive C) and  Rossel Gungob (executive B). (THE FREEMAN)
