CEBU, Philippines - The Japan Karate Association (JKA)-Philippines conducted its quarterly promotional examination over the weekend by letting the members show their basic karate stance, kumite and sparring sessions covering the ranks from white to brown belts.
The activity was held under the supervision of Emily Chiongbian, the chairperson of the Advertisement and Promotions Committee, assisted by Maricel Que, Edyza Rafols, Lyn Moro, Annabelle Almira and Bernadette Goyeneche through JKA secretary-general and Board of Trustees member Atty. Nilo Balorio.
The event was made possible through the support of JKA-Philippines president Atty. Augusto W. Go of the University of Cebu and JKA chief instructor Vic Luna (5th dan expert) on the technical aspect.
The other instructors include Sr. Inspector Erlando Metante of the Lapu-Lapu/Mandaue Chapter, Edito Maribojoc, Antonio Deluvio, Nilo Gonburan of Liloan, Consolacion and Cebu Chapters, Neil Rosaroso of the Mandaue-UCLM Chapter, Adriano Baclay of the Cebu City Chapter, Roger Dabalos, Walter Gacayan and Atty.
