Cebu to host Visayas leg of Honda GP

CEBU, Philippines - After the successful staging of its kick-off leg in Manila last May, it’s time for Cebu to host the Visayas leg of the Yamaha Grand Prix One Make Race this Sunday at Kartzone in Panagdait, Brgy. Kasambagan, this city.

The Yamaha GP is composed of four legs, with the final race set on October 3 at the Quirino grandstand in Manila.

Each leg features three regular categories plus three other special events.

The regular categories included in this Yamaha Motor Philippines Incorporated-organized and National Motorcycle Sport and Safety Association(NAMSSA)-sanctioned event include the 110c super stock, 115cc superstock, and the 115cc A/T superstock.

Bikes allowed under the 110cc superstock include the X-1, Crypton R, Crypton S and Crypton Z while 115cc superstock are for Vega users only. The 115cc A/T superstock include the Mio, Mio Soul and Nouvo model.

Special categories, on the other hand, include the 115cc sports production, 135cc super stock and the 125 M/C superstock.

The one-day tilt is open to beginners and novice riders only.

Cash prizes and trophies await the top three riders in each class.

Registration fee is pegged at P150.
