Tisa Inter-Commercial basketball tourney kicks off this am

CEBU, Philippines - A total of 13 teams are all set for action as the Barangay Captain’s Cup 2010 Tisa Inter-Commercial 40-Above First Conference Basketball Tournament will kick off today at the Tisa Sports Complex.

The opening bash, which promptly starts with the traditional parade of competing teams at 8 am, will be graced by Cebu City Mayor Tomas R. Osmeña, Vice Mayor Michael L. Rama and Tisa Brgy. Capt. Eduardo Cabulao.

Among those who will vie for top honors in the two-month tilt are Gaisano Capital-Tisa, D. Umandac Apartment, AM Arante Construction, Sun Boxes Corp., Original Siomai sa Tisa, Mr. Jone’s, Casa Rosita Subdivision, M. Guacas Apartment, Kreemar Enterprises, BigAtin Trading, Lourdes Catering, Yayoy’s Grill and Resto Bar and Monares Enterprises.

Organized by barangay councilor Rex Cabulao and Nilo Teniebro, the event is supported by Megapixel Net Cafe.

The champion will take home P5,000, while the second and third placers will receive P3,000 and P2,000, respectively. (THE FREEMAN)
