CEBU, Philippines - The city government of Cebu has allocated a total of P50,000 for the winners of the month-long 2009 Mayor Tomas Osmeña and Vice Mayor Mike Rama Inter-barangay Darts Tournament, which comes to a close tonight at the Baseline Sports and Recreaction Center.
Team 11 ate up the biggest chunk of the pie as it pocketed P15,000 for topping the four-man team event. The team is composed of Jourgein Villamor, Warren Mepisa, Winnie Ocañada and Adrian Delos Reyes.
Team 11 outlasted Team 5 of William Encorporado, Jerome Perales, Gerald Badayos and Nilo Janson. Team 5 will receive P7,000 for their effort.
Team 8, which is led by Marlito Patunob, will receive P4,000, while Team 6 of Arsil de Asia Godines will receive P2,000.
On the other hand, the tandem of Teresito Gonzales and Reyden Colina dominated the classified doubles after edging out Alvin Villa and Jonathan Rubi, while Jhunryl Cañete and Christopher Daclan reigned supreme in the open youth doubles after drubbing Renald Garrido and Arnel Baltonado. – Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (THE FREEMAN)
