Eyeberry upends Kidneycare in Atan Guardo cagefest
CEBU, Philippines - Eyeberry ’86 hammered out an 86-75 victory over Kidneycare ’87 in the clash of sister teams in the 2009 University of San Carlos Boys High Alumni Basketball Association (USCBHABA) Atan Guardo Barkadahan Cup Second Conference at the USC-North Campus gym.
Eyeberry took an early 23-19 lead, but the stubborn Kidneycare chargers stayed within striking distance for most of the way inclusing at 67-70 with 10 minutes left to play.
Eyeberry, however, outclassed Kidneycare in the final quarter to come up with an 11-point romp. Arturo Pepito Mata topped Eyeberry with a game-high 31 points.
