Seiri thrashes AC Sports in Triple A cagefest

CEBU, Philippines - Former UV Lancer Chico Cabahug and Vic Rodriguez powered Seiri to a 71-56 thrashing of the undermanned AC Sports in the Triple-A 2009 First Conference basketball tournament at the Kimwa gym.

After taking a 52-46 advantage at the end of the third period, Seiri closed the game with a 19-10 blast to seal the 15-point demolition.

Cord Kidlis and Al Locaylocay paced Seiri with 16 and 12 points, respectively. Cabahug and Rodriguez each scored 10 as they improved their unbeaten record to 4-0.

Nilo Romagos topped AC Sports with 15 points followed by Ajie Quijano with 14.

In the other match, the Angecar squad smothered Cleveland, 97-83, to forge a 3-2 tie with its victim in the standings.

Jerie Bukiron led Angecar with 21 points followed by ex-USP Panther Rany Cruz with 15.

Etchoy Budiongan finished with 20 points for Cleveland, while Jiji Tabaña added 17 points. Bert Dimpas and Al Gomos nailed 10 markers apiece in a losing cause.
