CEBU - Inting Reyes unloaded a game-high 36 points to power the Cebu Movers System to an 87-78 victory over Aqua Serv in the Guadalupe Athletic Association (GAA) Founder’s Cup basketball tournament at the Guadalupe Sports Complex.
With a clean 4-0 slate, the Cebu Movers of playing coach Boy Te need only three more games to complete another sweep and earn a twice-to-beat privilege in the next round. Last year, the Cebu Movers won the championship with an unprecedented 10-0 record.
So far, Boy Te is undefeated in 21 games as chief tactician of the Cebu Movers.
Aqua Serv, which dropped to 3-1, was led by Jeffrey Diola with 22 points.
In the other games, McMill defeated Swan, 65-53, Pecus Stallions slammed Team Mellow, 92-68 and Ram Boys edged out G & S International, 71-50.
The Pecus Stallions is the only other unbeaten team in four games and will likely give the Cebu Movers a run for their money if ever they clash in the finals.
