Nine teams join BEBA X'mas basketball league

CEBU - A total of nine teams will vie for top honors in the 35 years old and above category of the 2008 Barangay Ermita Basketball Association (BEBA) 2nd Conference Christmas Tournament, which kicked off last Sunday at the Ermita Sports Center.

The organizers led by re-elected BEBA president Jun Ando decided to regroup in order to foster camaraderie and to promote physical fitness among their members.

Cebu City North District Rep. Raul V. del Mar and his daugher Cutie graced the opening program, which was highlighted by the selection of best muse and the best in uniform won by Christine Jane team.

Aside from Christine Janes, the rest of the competing teams are AC Sports, Jer-Cool, Niel Angelou, Street Warriors, St. Vincent, Tania, King Fishers and BEBA.

The tournament is spearheaded by BEBA through Ando and the rest of the BEBA officers namely Chumen Sildura (vice president internal), Medy Banilad (VP external) Jesus Dibdib (secretary), Tony Piloton (treasurer), Dodong Masong (auditor), and Vicente Bosque, Calixto Rodeka and Gene Rosas (PROs). – GGM (THE FREEMAN)
