Montessori sizzles in VISSA swimfest

The Montessori International School emerged as the overall champion in the elementary division of the 3rd VISSA Inter-School Swimming Competition recently at the CPG Sports Complex in Tagbilaran City.

Jan Paulo Pitogo and Danielle Angela Biscocho led MMIS with four golds and a silver each. Pitogo competed under the boys 9-10 class and Biscocho in the girls 8-under division.

Aside from the individual golds, Pitogo also anchored their medley relay squad for an added two golds through the 200m and 400m medley relays. Pitogo’s temmates in the relay were Serge Patrick Biscocho, Gian Mikael Gonzaga, Myles Chi and Akihiro Hara.

Biscocho also steered her team to a gold and two silver in the relay.

Nikko Rafael Pitogo added glitter to MMIS’ bid by contributing three golds, a silver and a bronze as well as Ramsey Macawile with two golds, two silvers, and a bronze.

Gian Mikael Gonzaga contributed one gold, three silvers and a bronze, Magale Mattheu handed a gold and three silvers, and Mercy Issa Priagula won two golds and three silvers. Rhoida Macawile picked up one gold and two bronzes, Maisey Chi had a gold and three bronzes, Brian Minerva claimed three silvers and Serge Patrick grabbed two silvers. – Caecent No-ot Magsumbol
