SHABA 2006 Basketball: Bimoli, Dunkin Donuts/Gillamac lead

BIMOLI Cooking Oil lived up to expectations as it continues to share the top seat with defending champion Dunkin Donuts/Gillamac '97 after winning in their respective assignments last Sunday in the Sacred Heart Alumni Basketball Association (SHABA) Basketball tournament at the SHS-Jesuit gym.

Bimoli and Dunkin Donuts/Gillamac currently stand with seven wins and a loss.

Although Big Mao led in the first half, Bimoli still came out composed, as they made a push in the second half with Dennis Que and multi-MVP Dave Lim carrying most of the load.

The defending champion, Dunkin Donuts/Gillamac '97, on the other hand, vented its cellar-dweller GEF-Koppel '98,73-35 to collect its seventh win.

Even as one of its key players, Sean Barte was suspended, GEF-Koppel failed to grab the win and has stayed winless after eight games.

Worldwide Steel/Stanford Lab '99 improved its standing to 5-3 (win-loss) at the expense of Petron Blaze '95, 59-46.

Jem Huang showed it all that he is back in full form after suffering an injury and is seriously looking into the MVP race.

Huang was just completely dominating in the game and led his team with 18 points.

No games are set today for SHABA due to the school's Linggo ng Wika activities. Thursday's games will be moved to September 24 instead.
