Pardo's Ababon and Sabellano capture doubles championship in Sogod netfest

Pardo Tennis Club's Joseph Ababon and Eddie Sabellano emerged as the doubles champion in the 1st Mayor Thaddeus "Deo" Durano Tennis Cup recently at the Sogod tennis court in Poblacion, Sogod.
Ababon and Sabellano grabbed the title after defeating early favorites Marlon Dosado and Cito Tabura via a nerve-wracking 8-7 decision.
The champion duo in the inter-club centennial category pocketed P5,000, while the runner-up received P3,000.
Despite the loss, Dosado had something to be happy about as he teamed up with Arche Osias to beat Dondon Erasmo and Galen Lumapas, 8-5, and claim the Sogod inter-color class A title.
Dave Soltonos and Nathaniel Apundar dominated class B after pulling an 8-6 upset over Nick Bacayo and Aloto Ayag.
The event, sponsored by the local government of Sogod led by mayor Deo Durano in association with the barangay officials of Poblacion, was among the highlights of Sogod's annual town fiesta in honor of its beloved patron St.James de Apostle.
