Amonsot, Denoy tackle Latino foes in US fights

ALA Stable standout Czar Amonsot and fellow Boholano Along Denoy will clash with Latino foes in their forthcoming US fights on May 12 at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"We received today (yesterday) a confirmation from Guilty Promotions regarding the opponents of Czar Amonsot and Along Denoy for their respective fights in Las Vegas on May 12, 2006," bared international promoter Sammy Gello-ani in an e-mail to The Freeman yesterday.

Amonsot, the reigning WBO Asia Pacific super featherweight champion, takes on Jose "El Gallo" Reyes of Puerto Rico in his second US bout, while Along Denoy makes his maiden ring appearance in the US against Sergio Espinoza, a Mexican-American from National City, California.

Amonsot sports a 15-1-1 win-loss-draw record spiked with 10KOs, while Reyes is equally impressive in his 18-2 slate packed with 7KOs.

Dinoy's opponent Espinoza, on the other hand, carries an 11-2-1 win-loss-draw ledger with four victories via stoppage.

Amonsot and Denoy are set to leave for the US today together with their trainer, Edmund Villamor.
