'Dancesport sa Sugbu' set next month at WGH

The 2006 edition of the Southern Philippines DanceSport Championship, also known as the DanceSport Sa Sugbu, will take place on April 29 at the White Gold House.

This will be the first-time that a big event in dancesport here will be done at White Gold, where a dance floor will be especially set up.

The Freeman learned that the organizers decided to stage it at WhiteGold to keep the entries from the barangays less intimidated as the first edition was held at the Waterfront Hotel in Lahug.

The event features dance athletes from the Visayas and Mindanao, divided in different classes in both the modern standard and latin dance disciplines.

Expected to participate are dance athletes from different schools, barangays, dance instructors and ballroom enthusiasts, among others.

Cash prizes, medals and trophies awaits the winners of the event.
