Babano takes Cebu South chess

Giovani Babano swept all his assignments to dominate the Cebu South Chess Tournament-Class B held at North Poblancion, San Fernando.

Babano racked up 5.0 points and went home with P1,500 for his feat.

Joselito Loquez, on the other hand, copped second place after he tallied 4.5 points to pocket P1,000.

Isidro Bulala finished third place while Antonio Buenafe, Sr. settled for fourth place with 4.0 points each to receive P500 and P250, respectively.

The one-day event was sponsored by Cebu South Chess Club president Rey Loquez, Ramy Sasuman, and Alicaway.
