Manila's Layoso-Sy tandem wins doubles title in Sinulog keg

The tandem of Benshir Layoso and Sammy Say Sy of Manila Tenpin Bowling Team I collared the doubles event title of the 7th Metro Gaisano-SMC Sinulog Open Tournament at the Gaisano Bowlingplex in Banilad.
The Henrich-backed Layoso and Sy outclassed erstwhile pace-setter CIFYA-Prima's Johnson Tan and Earl Uy by knocking down 1,786 pinfalls in the week-long event.
Layoso and Sy received P8,000 for their feat.
Tan and Uy, on the other hand, landed at second place after racking up 1,740 pinfalls. They went home P6,000 richer.
RP mainstay Bonnie Solis and Rollie Cruz, who are donning Prima Passta Team II of Manila, wound up third place with 1,732 pinfalls to pocket P4,000.
Prima Pasta VI's Jomar Jumapao of Sacred Heart School-Jesuit and Clarence Tiu of the University of San Carlos landed fourth place, while Prima Pasta VII's Kiddo Veloso and Micmic Miranda clinched fifth place.
On the other hand, Analily Lao of Prima Pasta VIII, who has 216-point average per game, maintained her lead enroute to bagging all the events tiara with 2,592 pinfalls. She got P7,000.
Junjun Gothong of Prima Pasta VI nailed the second spot with 2,584 pins, while Ernest Tan of Phone and Gadgets snatched third with 2,568 pinfalls.
