Lagman books finals in Olivarez tennis

The country's top ranked junior netter Jacob Lagman is headed for another victorious campaign as he booked a separate finals and semifinals berth in the Olivarez Veterans and Age Group Tennis tournament yesterday in Parañaque City.

A grade four student of St. Benedict Childhood Education Center, Lagman hardly had trouble in disposing off Enrique Ferrer, 6-1, 6-1, to earn a finals ticket in the unisex 10-under division.

The 10-year-old Lagman, who also dumped Shaikh Majed earlier, 6-0, 6-0, sets up a titular battle against Mark Escares.

It was the same scenario in the 12-under as the 10-year-old Lagman only needed 25 minutes to resolve the less resistant Fredmoore Dominsac, 6-0, 6-0, to advance in the round of four, facing off Kim Polero.

Lagman, the country's top seed in both boys 12-under and unisex 10-under bagged both titles in the Prince Nassau Age Group Tennis Tournament held in Davao City.
