Mandaue city hall workers to get additional incentives

CEBU, Philippines — More benefits await Mandaue City Hall employees this December, as regular workers are set to receive performance enhancement incentives, while job order personnel, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), and Clean and Green workers will receive salary differentials.

City Administrator Atty. Gonzalo “Sally” Malig-on said in an interview on December 2 that the additional compensation is expected to be released within the month, just in time for the Christmas season.

Malig-on noted that all regular employees had already received their year-end bonus as early as November 15, equivalent to one month’s salary.

He explained that the remaining benefits — the performance enhancement incentive for regular employees and the salary differentials for job order staff, BHWs, and Clean and Green workers — still need approval from the City Council.

“Mao nay hopefully madawat for Pasko,” Malig-on said.

If approved, job order workers may receive ?5,000, while BHWs and Clean and Green personnel may receive up to ?2,800.

Malig-on clarified that these amounts will be proportional or prorated, covering only those employed from September 1 to November 30, 2025.

Regular employees are also set to receive ?5,000 in performance enhancement incentives, although this will be subject to evaluation, as it is performance-based.

Meanwhile, job order workers, BHWs, and Clean and Green workers will receive a salary differential. — (FREEMAN)
