CEBU, Philippines - Capitol officials and employees will get at least P12,000 and at most P35,000 each in anniversary bonus as the Province of Cebu celebrated the 442nd founding anniversary yesterday.
The amount is higher compared to last year as announced yesterday by Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia before Capitol employees.
Garcia has been giving incentives to Capitol employees not across-the-board but based on the performance of each department.
Last year, the province gave P20,000 for outstanding departments; P15,000 for very satisfactory; P10,000 for satisfactory and P8,000 for fair performing departments.
Garcia announced yesterday that this year, outstanding departments get P25,000; P20,000 for very satisfactory; P15,000 for satisfactory and P12,000 for fair.
For district hospital category, Malabuyoc is on top with Sogod, Badian, Barili and Argao trailing.
Under the Office of the Vice Governor and the Legislative Department, the office of Provincial Board Member Joven Mondigo Jr. is on top with the offices of Board Member Peter John Calderon, Vice Governor Agnes Magpale, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Secretary Aniceta Pasaylo and PB Member Wilfredo Caminero following.
For the executive department, top five were the Governor’s Office followed by the General Services Office, Budget Office, Administrator’s Office and Legal Office.
Employees of the above-stated offices will get varied incentives following the rating of their respective departments and offices.
Employees of top one departments get P15,000 each; P12,000 each for the top two; P10,000 for top three; P8,000 for top four and P7,000 for top five plus the corresponding amount their department will get.
Employees of other departments not belonging to the top five still get a bonus based on the rating of their department at least fair.
In her speech, Garcia reminded the employees of her words when she first met with them seven years ago and told them she is not expecting their love but as governor she is demanding their professionalism and efficiency.
“We gathered here to celebrate not just 442 years of struggle but to celebrate the seven years of determination focus on definite direction knowing where we are going and doing all that we could to get there,” she said.
Garcia was applauded when she said she is now proud of the Capitol employees after seeing the changes in how they serve the Cebuanos.
“Lahi na kaayo ang mga empleyado sa Kapitolyo,” Garcia said. (FREEMAN)
