Man charged for trying to kill 6 health workers

CEBU, Philippines – Six medical personnel of Julio Rosales Memorial Hospital in Dalaguete accused a 57-year-old man of trying to kill them while having their sportsfest two weeks ago.

Edgar Camacho was charged with multiple attempted homicide before the Cebu Provincial Prosecutor's Office allegedly trying to run over with his vehicle Joseph Walter Lumayag, 23; Randolf Salvador, 22; Henry Ricky Cordero, 37; Donato Vargas, 31; Ludweg Ricafort, 23; and Jay Aurbel de Guzman, 23, on November 18.

The six health personnel, in their complaint affidavit, said they were playing volleyball in front of the Dalaguete District Hospital when the suspect, who was allegedly drunk, got mad and tried to bump them with his vehicle.

The suspect first asked them, "Kinsa man mong nag abog-abog aning atubangan sa hospital?"

The victims ignored Camacho because he appeared to be drunk. He then tore the volleyball net and asked the victims how much was the cost of the net.

When the victims ignored him for the second time, he drove his vehicle and tried to ram into the victims.

Police personnel in Dalaguete responded and brought Camacho to the police station. (FREEMAN)
