CEBU, Philippines – The two children who were killed by caretakers of a farm last Friday evening for allegedly stealing a galvanized iron sheet were tortured before they were shot to death as results of the autopsies performed on the children by the regional PNP crime laboratory would show.
PNP Crime laboratory chief Dr. Nestor Sator said 13-year-old Aljay Acuesta sustained an abrasion on his forehead, lacerated wound on his left eye, contusions on his upper and lower eyelid, contusions on his left face, and a contusion on his lower lip, gunshot wounds on the chest.
Ellary Villarin, the other 13-year-old boy, showed a swelling on his right hand, bruises on his upper eyelid, a bruise on his forehead, and a puncture on his left eye, and three gunshot wounds on his abdomen.
Sator said both victims died from gunshot wounds.
A double murder case and illegal possession of firearms and violation of the Comelec gun ban will be filed against the two caretakers today who are identified as Lucas Taoy, 35, and Jason Laurente, 18, who both hail from Carmen town.
The two men who have been working on a farm owned by a former Mayor of Carmen town.
The bodies of the two boys were found near a livestock farm in Purok 4, barangay Cubacub last Friday evening. (FREEMAN)
