Lone robber preys on lovers in Camputhaw

CEBU, Philippines – A man and his girlfriend fell victims to a lone robber while they were talking on the road on Rosal St., barangay Camputhaw, Cebu City at around 11:30 p.m. Thurs-day.

Joseph Hydin Albarico, 19, of Clarita Village, Punta Princesa, went to the Theft and Robbery Section of the Cebu City Police Office to report the incident.

According to him, he was talking with his girlfriend when the suspect, who was armed with an unidentified caliber of firearm, approached them and declared the hold up.

Terrified, Albarico said they did not resist and immediately handed over their valuables to the robber who fled towards unknown direction.

Albarico described the suspect as slim built, about 5'0" in height, has brown complexion and is about in his mid-30s.

The items that were taken from the victims were two units of cellular phone worth P3,000 each and a clutch bag containing assorted school supplies. - Meldy Jane L. Sanico and Vina D. Damayo, PIT interns/WAB (FREEMAN)
