CEBU, Philippines - Two men were placed under arrest after a big pack of suspected shabu and nubain were seized from their possession in two separate incidents evening last Friday. First arrested was Christopher Anticristo, 36, of Barangay Quiot.
He was arrested by operatives of the City Intelligence Branch of the Cebu City Police Office who were responding to a report about an armed person who was riding a multicab with plate number GXH-583.
With the help of the Traffic Patrol Group, the CIB personnel flagged down the multicab in Barangay Bulaco Pardo, but they reportedly found no firearm. Instead, they reportedly found a big pack of shabu in Anticristo’s possession.
Anticristo is currently detained pending the filing of appropriate charges against him. The seized item was submitted to the PNP Crime Laboratory for examination.
Meanwhile, an 18-year-old man is also in detention after he was caught with a syringe containing a substance believed to be nubain past 7pm along D. Jakosalem Street in Barangay Parian.
Dave Rabasano, a resident of the mountain barangay Pong-ol Sibugay, was arrested by barangay tanod Leo Nadela at a checkpoint. A charge for violating City Ordinance 1427 is expected to be filed against him tomorrow. — Niña G. Sumacot/JMO(FREEMAN NEWS)
