Suspected killer yields to police

-

CEBU, Philippines - A 60-year-old man, who was the suspect in the killing of a neighbor in barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City, yesterday admitted to the crime and turned himself in to the police.

Felix Lupanggo, who surrendered to Police Senior Supt. Vicente Loot in Daanbantayan the other day, was suspected of killing 35-year-old Virginia Igot, a resident of Basak Eskwelahan, Lapu-Lapu City.

He was later turned over to the police in Lapu-Lapu City.

Lupanggo admitted killing Igot last March 3 by hacking her with a bolo.

The woman was taken to Lapu-Lapu City District Hospital where she died.

Igot along with her cousin were passing by Lupanggo’s house that night when suddenly the man sneaked behind and started attacking Igot.

Lupanggo had harbored a grudge against her.

He is now detained at the Lapu-Lapu City police station. – Garry B. Lao (FREEMAN NEWS)
