Robbery suspect charged for drugs

CEBU, Philippines - An alleged accomplice in a robbery has been charged before the Regional Trial Court for possessing at least a pack of shabu and some drug paraphernalia.

Melvin Roble has been charged with violation of Sections 11 and 12 of the Dangerous Drugs Act after he was arrested by elements of the Cebu City Police Office in possession of shabu and drug paraphernalia during his arrest last February 23.

In his affidavit, SPO1 Jeffrey Simmons Diola said that Roble was the subject of their operation after he was pointed as an accomplice in a robbery in Carreta on that day.

During the police operation, Roble was spotted having involved in a shabu session in Villagonzalo 2.

Police recovered from Roble’s possession a plastic pack of suspected shabu, a .357 caliber revolver with four ammunitions, three rolled tin foils, two disposable lighter and scissors. – Jasmin R. Uy/LPM (THE FREEMAN)
