Ayon sa ulat, naglatag ng buy-bust operation ang PDEA Region 3 dakong alas-5 ng hapon sa isang parking lot ng mall matapos na makipag-deal sa mga drug suspect. Dumating sa nasabing lugar ang mga suspek na hindi bababa sa limang bilang sakay ng pulang Toyota Innova at puting Toyota Fortuner at dumiretso sa parking lot ng mall.
Habang ginaganap ang transaksyon, nakatunog ang ilan sa mga suspek dahilan upang mabilis silang tumakas gamit ang kanilang mga sasakyan.
Dito na nagkaroon ng habulan at palitan ng putok sa pagitan ng mga suspek at PDEA agents. Tumulong din ang mga rumespondeng Mobile Patrol Unit, Intelligence Operatives at SWAT ng Bacoor Police sa pagtugis sa mga suspek.
Tumagal ng mahigit sa kalahating oras ang habulan kung saan binaril pa ng mga pulis ang gulong ng isang sasakyan ng mga tumatakas na suspek subalit tuluyan pa rin silang nakatakas.
Kalaunan, narekober ng pulisya ang pulang Toyota Innova na may plakang CBJ2329 na isa sa dalawang sasakyan ng mga suspek makaraang abandonahin sa kahabaan ng Cerritos Avenue Brgy. Molino 4 kung saan ito ang sasakyan na binaril ng pulisya ang gulong habang kasagsagan ng running gun battle. Nakilala ang isa sa mga suspek sa alyas “Ryan,” na siyang target ng operasyon.
