CEBU, Philippines - At least two houses totally burned while another one and a pharmacy were damaged when a fire hit sitio Tinabangay, barangay Mambaling, Cebu City around 7:32 p.m. yesterday.
Initial investigation showed that the fire originated from an electric post.
Residents in the area said they saw the post flickered with fire, prompting them to call the city fire department.
Two houses were already burned when firefighters responded to the area. The fire was raised to second alarm and was controlled several minutes later.
City councilor and City Disaster Coordinating Council chairman Gerardo Carillo said no casualty or injury was reported during the incident.
