CEBU – A man has been charged with violation of Section 11 of the Dangerous Drugs Act before the Regional Trial Court for possession of at least 1.5 grams of shabu.
Joven Bazar was arrested last January 27 by the Talisay Ciy police after he was caught in possession of the illegal drug during a raid that was conducted by virtue of a search warrant issued by RTC Branch 10 Judge Soliver Peras.
Confiscated during the search were three pieces medium size transparent pack of shabu, gun replica lighters and a cutter which police believed was used for repacking shabu.
The conduct of the search was witnessed by barangay officials of the place.
Meanwhile, a resident of Carcar City was charged for shabu possession after he was arrested on October 11 for trying to sell a sachet of shabu to a policeman.
A charge against Dante Balanon was elevated to the RTC after probable cause for filing has been found.
He has been charged of violation of Section 11 of the Dangerous drugs Act after he tried selling a deck of shabu to PO1 Lorenzo de los Reyes.
The policeman, in his sworn statement, said that he was on leave on when the incident happened.
He claimed that he was in waiting shed in barangay Napo, Carcar City waiting for somebody to arrive when the accused approached him and offered to him the pack of shabu.
