Pusher on watchlist nabbed in buy-bust
CEBU - Lapu-Lapu City police arrested the other day a level-2 drug pusher in a buy-bust operation in barangay Marigondon.
Now detained at the Lapu-Lapu Police Station is Ricardo Soliano, 38.
Unlike other drug suspects caught red-handed, Soliano admitted in an interview over TV Patrol Central Visayas that “he is into drug pushing.”
A level-2 drug pusher can dispose of from 200 grams to 30 kilos of drugs on a single distribution.
Police Insp. Raymund Rodriguez, head of the intelligence office of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office, said that Soliano is “well-known drug peddler” in their locality.
Authorities spent a two-month surveillance operation against the suspect. “Naa gyod ni siya sa watchlist nato,” Rodriguez confirmed.
During the buy-bust operation, police confiscated from Soliano the marked money worth P800, drug paraphernalia, and 12 big packs and another nine small packs of suspected shabu. — Ramil V. Ayuman/MEEV (THE FREEMAN)
