British national hurt in car accident

CEBU – A 62-year-old male British national was injured when the vehicle he was driving fell off a cliff in sitio Bihang, barangay Bongoyan, Borbon, Cebu last Friday night.

Police said the victim, who was identified as Richard Levenson Gibson, a pensioner, married, and a resident of Moabod Tabogon, Cebu was driving his Honda Jazz car from Cebu City bound home but he allegedly lost direction.

Instead of going to Tabogon, Gibson allegedly headed towards barangay Bongoyan, and when he reached sitio Bihang his vehicle accidentally fell down the cliff consequently injuring him and damaging his car.

Responding police were able to retrieve from inside the car a laptop, four checks worth P80,000 and six others more with undetermined amount, three cell phones, a driver’s license, important documents and other personal belongings of the victim.

The victim was brought to Juan Dosado Memorial Hospital and declared by the doctor as an out patient and was later allowed to go home after the treatment of his minor wounds. — Niña Chrismae G. Sumacot/WAB (THE FREEMAN)
