A man reportedly committed suicide with the use of a bladed weapon inside his house in Danicop, barangay Guadalupe, Carcar City the other day.
Carcar City Police identified the man as Ambrosio Paran, 61, and a resident of the said place.
In an investigation conducted by the Carcar Police, the body of Ambrosio was discovered by his son, Glenn.
Initial investigation revealed that the victim was reportedly in “despair as he was suffering from diabetes for a quite a long time now and that his wife had also left him.”
Though his relatives are convinced that no foul play was involved in the incident, the police are still conducting further investigation.
Meanwhile, a fetus around five-months old was found near a convent in Poblacion, Toledo City last Saturday.
The fetus which was reportedly placed inside a paper bag was discovered within the vicinity of Saint John de Sahagun convent of the said city.
Nicolas Tanaman, one of the caretakers of the church, was the one who discovered the fetus.
Toledo City police forces led by Police Insp. Eliakim Awit already turned over the said fetus to the City Health Department in Toledo.
The police are still conducting a follow-up investigation for the possible identification of the biological mother and to determine whether there was a case of miscarriage or abortion. — Joy Kareen T. Saliente/MEEV
