Payloader falls off Boljoon bridge, crushes to death operator, farmer

A payloader operator and a farmer were crushed to death when the payloader they were riding fell from a steel bridge to the river at sitio Upper Beserel, barangay Pundohan, Boljoon Friday afternoon.

The Boljoon Police said the fatalities were 51-year-old Ambrocio Paraiso, payloader operator of WTG Construction, and 30-year-old farmer Anito Campaner, of barangay Pundohan.

Police investigator PO3 Ernesto Villamor said Paraiso had just finished his work on a provincial road in Pundohan and was driving his payloader to barangay Dalayday.

Along the way, Campaner asked Paraiso for a ride with his farm products, a request that Paraiso granted. When they crossed a steel bridge however the payloader fell and crushed the two riders to their death.

"Wala makalukso ang mga biktima sa kakalit sa ilang pagka tagak sa sapa mao nga sila nadat-ugan gyud, "Villamor said.

Residents near the area tried to rescue Paraiso and Campaner by cutting off parts of the payloader, but they failed.
